Questions?

Is Brissy Paeds OT the right fit for us?

Paediatric occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need for 'the job of being a kid'. Any meaningful tasks - from playing with toys to showering safely and getting around your home and community - can be goal areas in Occupational Therapy. Brissy Paeds OT has a special interest in supporting children with complex physical and developmental presentations, including those with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and developmental delay. In addition to ongoing therapy, we are able to offer one-off assessments and reports on an ad hoc basis. We also provide an initial free phone call to determine whether Brissy Paeds OT is a good fit for your child and family.

What funding schemes do you accept?

Most often, we see children under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  We can also assist families seeking to access the NDIS. All occupational therapy services are charged in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26 v.1.1. Brissy Paeds OT is able to see Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS participants.

What happens during the first session

An initial session will focus on gathering information from your family, as well as conducting some brief child-focused, play-based observations, before discussing your family's specific OT goal areas.
